Michael and his family relocated to Broken Hill from Geelong, Victoria in 2010 when they purchased the Broken Hill Tourist Park and have since added the Sturt Motel and Away Tours Broken Hill.

Michael has worked in the caravan and camping industry for the last fifteen years. He holds a Bachelor of Business and Tourism and Masters in Business Administration. He has worked in the United States with a wholesale tourism operator and was a recipient of the Victorian Caravan Industry Younger Achiever and Finalist in the Future Leaders of the Caravan Industry of Australia Award.

Michael is currently the Chair of the Future Leaders of the Australian Caravan Industry, representing individuals under the age of 40 within the manufacturing and tourism sector, and previously held roles as an Advisory Board Member for G’day Parks representing the interests of 280 parks throughout Australia and Chair of 25in25 Broken Hill.

Michael was recently awarded the Thyne Reid Foundation scholarship, as the participant to the Australian Rural Leadership Program #27 – a group of industry, business and community leaders seeking to actively contribute to the greater good of rural, regional and remote Australia. The program is designed to provide a dynamic experiential learning program focused on the development of leadership for individuals and collectives who are contributing to the future prosperity of rural and regional Australia.
