Outline

The Foundation Broken Hill Training Grant is being offered to assist career opportunities for school leavers, those undertaking current studies, those in a casual or part-time position, job seekers, or those who are thinking about a career change and also to assist those who can demonstrate financial or other hardships.

The training grant was initially established in 2013 through the generous endowment of funds from Broken Hill Skillshare and Foundation Broken Hill is proud to be able to continue with the vision set by Skillshare in the early years. Broken Hill Skillshare was a well-respected training organisation who provided training and support over multiple decades to countless Broken Hill people.

The objective of the grant program is to encourage a person to pursue a course of study in a field which will benefit their future job opportunities in Broken Hill and the region. The successful applicants will be those wishing to upgrade their skills or qualifications in the pursuit of paid employment, either in Broken Hill or when they return to Broken Hill after their studies are completed.

Each grant will be provided on an individual basis to successful applicants who meet our criteria. Five grants (up to a value of $1,000) are being offered.

You may be required to attend an interview as part of the selection process. The grant applicants will be assessed by a sub-committee panel and the decision of that selection panel will be final.

To apply simply fill out the online application form and submit it before the closing date or email grants@foundationbh.org.au and request an application.
