Peter Miranda was born, educated and lived in Broken Hill all of his life.

Peter has always had a community focus, being a member of Apex for 15 years as well as an Aussie Rules football umpire for 10 years. Peter was also involved in the management committee for Outback and all that Jazz.

However, it is Peters depth of knowledge in finance and governance that will be of great benefit to the Foundation. Peter has worked in a variety of areas including retail, local and state government. For the past 25 years, Peter held key management positions in Health that included working for state government entities and a not for profit. This experience includes being able to financially manage numerous programs across various locations while still meeting the financial reporting requirements of both the Board, ATO and ACNC.

Peter retired from the Royal Flying Doctor Service in March 2022 after 13 years as General Manager Corporate Services.

Since retiring Peter continues to call Broken Hill home and is looking to give back to the community by taking a Directorship with Foundation Broken Hill.

Peters’ interests include remaining physically active by swimming, playing golf and bike riding, while enjoying a holiday or two.
